Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for the DAAD EPOS scholarship, applicants must:

  • Be employed by a public authority or private company in a developing country and actively involved in development-related planning and implementation.
  • Hold a Bachelor’s degree (typically four years) in a relevant field.
  • Have completed their degree with above-average academic performance (upper third).
  • Possess at least two years of relevant professional experience after obtaining their Bachelor’s degree.
  • Have completed their last academic degree no more than six years before applying.
  • Not have resided in Germany for more than 15 months at the time of application.

  • Completed DAAD application form
  • Signed checklist
  • Detailed curriculum vitae (use Europass format)
  • Motivational letter outlining academic, professional, and personal goals
  • Certificates of employment demonstrating at least two years of relevant experience

  • Proof of language proficiency:

    English: IELTS or TOEFL (institutional TOEFL not accepted)
  • German: Required for programs taught in German
  • Certified copies of university degrees and transcripts
  • APS Certificate (for applicants from China)
