Introduction
The Women in Finance Scholarship Award, administered by FINCAD, is now accepting applications for the 2024 academic session. Qualified women who are pursuing a full-time postgraduate degree at a nationally or internationally recognized university are invited to apply.Scholarships will be offered to candidates enrolled in a postgraduate program with a focus on finance, particularly in areas related to the use of derivatives in capital markets and/or financial risk management.
To be considered for the Women in Finance FINCAD Scholarship Award, applicants must meet the following criteria:
1. Enrollment and Attendance: Be enrolled in a full-time Master's or PhD program in Finance.
2. Study Commencement: Have started their studies no earlier than January 1, 2024, and no later than February 1, 2025.
3. Work Experience: Have less than 10 years of total work experience, with less than 5 years of professional experience in the financial field.
4. Citizenship and Gender: Be a female citizen of any country enrolled in a postgraduate Finance program at an accredited university.
5. Educational Background for Master's Applicants: Have a relevant bachelor's degree from a recognized university with good grades.
6. Educational Background for PhD Applicants: Have a relevant master's degree from a recognized university with good grades.
7. Course of Study: Be enrolled in a full-time Finance program, particularly those pursuing careers in financial asset management, market risk management, and derivatives finance.
8. Leadership and Academic Potential: Demonstrate strong leadership and academic potential, and be willing to act as good ambassadors for the scholarship sponsor.
