Introduction

The Women in Finance Scholarship Award, administered by FINCAD, is now accepting applications for the 2024 academic session. Qualified women who are pursuing a full-time postgraduate degree at a nationally or internationally recognized university are invited to apply.

Scholarships will be offered to candidates enrolled in a postgraduate program with a focus on finance, particularly in areas related to the use of derivatives in capital markets and/or financial risk management.

To be considered for the Women in Finance FINCAD Scholarship Award, applicants must meet the following criteria:

1. Enrollment and Attendance: Be enrolled in a full-time Master's or PhD program in Finance.

2. Study Commencement: Have started their studies no earlier than January 1, 2024, and no later than February 1, 2025.

3. Work Experience: Have less than 10 years of total work experience, with less than 5 years of professional experience in the financial field.

4. Citizenship and Gender: Be a female citizen of any country enrolled in a postgraduate Finance program at an accredited university.

5. Educational Background for Master's Applicants: Have a relevant bachelor's degree from a recognized university with good grades.

6. Educational Background for PhD Applicants: Have a relevant master's degree from a recognized university with good grades.

7. Course of Study: Be enrolled in a full-time Finance program, particularly those pursuing careers in financial asset management, market risk management, and derivatives finance.

8. Leadership and Academic Potential: Demonstrate strong leadership and academic potential, and be willing to act as good ambassadors for the scholarship sponsor.

How to Apply for Women in Finance FINCAD Scholarship Award

Interested applicants for the Women in Finance FINCAD Scholarship Award 2024 should submit an online application by visiting the official application website to create a username and password. Upon successful submission, applicants will receive a confirmation prompt.

Applicants must submit the following documents in the prescribed file format (jpg, pdf, or gif) and naming convention. Please note that the maximum file size for each document is 20MB:

- Curriculum Vitae
- Two letters of reference from appropriate individuals, such as professors, relevant university staff, work supervisors, or colleagues
- University transcript(s) from undergraduate program(s)
- Confirmation of acceptance or enrollment in the postgraduate program for the 2024/2025 academic session
- Any authored papers (if applicable)
