A Chandigarh-based journalist Man Aman Singh Chhina, tweeted about an emotional reunion of siblings after decades of wait. Of the two siblings, the brother is now a Sikh living in India and the sister is a Muslim residing in Pakistan. The siblings who separated during the partition finally united through the Kartarpur corridor.

Man Aman Singh Chhina tweeted, “One of the biggest advantages of Kartarpur Corridor has been that long separated siblings from 1947 have been able to meet each other. Just watched a video of a Indian brother and his Pakistani sister meeting in Kartarpur. Makes the eyes well up.”

The partition of India and Pakistan was the most tragic event in history due to which a lot of families got separated. Thankfully, the Kartarpur Corridor was opened in 2019 allowing visa-free travel from India to Pakistan up to Gurudwara Darbar Sahib in Kartarpur.
